This is me before my third and last leg, at around 3pm on Saturday. I had only slept about 4 hours that morning, a total of 6 or 7 in the last 36 hours. I could feel it. That, and the temperature outside was in the high 80’s if not low 90’s. This would be my most brutal leg, almost 9 miles. Yes, the course would be flat, but I would run into a “wall” of exhaustion.
