Aside

As has become habit for me now, I’ve installed a new theme for the blog with the new season. (Don’t worry. I won’t change it again until summer.) I think you’re going to like it because it has a lot of the elements of more “traditional” blogs. On the right-hand side of the page, you have a “carousel” displaying the blog posts I am most proud of so far. Then you can see the links to some of the blogs I read. First, I did away with the comment form that came with this template and replaced it (with some tweaks) with the default WordPress theme’s (“Twentytwelve”) comment form. Next, I got rid of the nested comments. There are…

Reader friendly versions of posts are now available

Thanks to the tips over at Digital Inspiration, I’ve created a reader-friendly link at the top of every post, where the tags, categories, and comment counts are:   Go ahead, click on it!   The link appears only when you are reading the individual post, not when you’re looking at the blog page with all posts included. So click on…

Me worry?

I heard today that I’m being interviewed for a slot in the Doctor of Public Health program at a prestigious university, one whose name carries significant weight in the world of Public Health. Should I be worried? On the one hand, I probably should, since getting in or not will change my life (not to mention my outlook on life).…
